All Area Conference for Employment Specialists and Job-Seekers Dublin, OH

Same agenda as the conference in Etobicoke, Ontario. Great attendance.

Job-Seekers began coming into the cultural hall to find their stake sign on the wall and meet up with an Employment Specialist. Then they went off to the five classes.

This time Elder Hoopes was in the Relief Society Room informing about LDSJobs.org and online searching. My session was on the stage covering topics of Personal Commercials and Power Stories. I wondered how well it would work out on the stage, but it was great. The stage was carpeted. We left the curtain mostly open and it made a great open classroom.

At the conclusion of the sessions, the Job-Seekers met throughout the building to create action steps and follow-up meeting dates with their Employment Specialists.

SURPRISE VISIT FROM CURTIS

We really felt that some day Curtis would walk into the office and surprise us. We were so surprised, thrilled and excited when he actually did. It was an amazing surprise!

We took him to our favorite El Patio Restaurant. He ordered his food speaking in Spanish. So fun! His visit was only about three hours but a great visit.

Etobicoke Ontario Canada All Area Conference for ES and Job-Seekers

This was a great conference at the Bishop's Storehouse, and Employment Center. The first two hours was with Employment Specialists. When the job-seekers came at 11:00 they met by stakes with the specialists and it was an opportunity for the ES to be trained in helping the job-seeker during the five breakout sessions. Each only 25 minutes long but long enough for attendees to be lifted and inspired with followup from the specialist with them. The classes were on Interviewing, Personal Commercial and Power Stories, Networking, Resumes, and On Line Searching.

It was really fun to use the facility the best we could. Elder Hoopes taught in the Food Packing area. Susan taught in the Food Storage area. It was an awesome sight .

Baptism of Beautiful Joyce

Joyce will be a great strong member. It is always fun returning Elders to their apartment.
